Our fresh Bombay Duck, also known as Bombil, is wild-caught from Indonesia and supplied in approximately 900g–1kg packs. Despite its name, Bombay Duck is a fish and is especially popular in Indian cuisine. Its soft flesh develops a distinctive savoury flavour when cooked and becomes particularly delicious when deep-fried until crisp.
Bombil also works well in Indian-style curry, masala preparations and traditional seafood dishes.
